The summer always seems to fly by way too fast. We hope you made memories with your children and family that you all will cherish for many years. As you have received our meeting notification email a few days ago you know the Bluegrass Business Analysis Chapter is getting ready to start a new program year.
As promised the Board of Directors was busy during the summer planning for our new program year and some additional membership benefits you will see right away this fall. This past year we delivered an excellent business analysis educational program using presenters from the international and regional community, like Kupe Kupersmith, Kate Gwynne and Terry Wiegmann; and added our own local talent to those, including Bud Ratliff, Ted Hardy and myself. We continue that theme this month with another internationally renowned speaker, Elizabeth Larson, Co-founder and CEO of Watermark Learning, a premier education provider in the business analysis space. We have more great local and regional talent in line for you this fall, winter and spring.
You will also see some great operational enhancements that will add value to your membership and experience with the Chapter. You will see at this month’s meeting that we replaced those archaic paper attendance sign-in sheets with electronic check-in capability. This gives us attendance tracking capability so if you need proof of attendance for your company or certification proof, we will have it for you. We are continuing to work on even greater operational advancements to add value to your experience.
You will see that we continue our community outreach, holding our meeting this month at ITT Technical Institute. During the summer we received two new members, both from Toyota. In the past eight months we have grown our membership from zero to 18; and IIBA membership in the area from six to 26. We invite all professionals who deliver organizational change, whether you consider yourself a business analyst or not, to come see the great things we have going on here and be part of our growth.
So exciting things happening internationally and here in the Bluegrass region. We are proud of our accomplishments to date and look to continue our growth and community involvement in the future. You are welcome to join us in any capacity you wish. We hope to see you in the fall! If at any time you wish to contact us, feel free to email Bluegrassiiba@gmail.com
